A former Assistant District Attorney in Pennsylvania, Attorney Kathleen Kane handles numerous disability cases each month. She joined Spillane Law Offices in Quincy, Massachusetts in 2002, representing clients in several different practice areas, including social security, bankruptcy, divorce, and family law. Since her husband, Jon, became disabled and diagnosed with Marfan Syndrome in 2001, Kathleen has devoted more of her time and commitment to Social Security Disability cases and supporting the National Marfan Foundation. She has been successful in obtaining benefits in ten states for claimants with disabilities such as seizure and psychological disorders, traumatic injuries, connective tissue disorders like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and many others. She has spoken at various functions and organizations to raise awareness for several charitable foundations and the disability process. Most importantly, Kathleen handles each case with compassion and understanding.

During the spring of 2010, Kathleen organized and hosted the “Celebration of Marfan Life and History Fundraiser,” an event celebrating the achievements of those suspected of having this disability. The event raised over $5,000 to support the Massachusetts Chapter of The National Marfan Foundation.
